Position Objectives and Expectations

Provide all aspects of human resources services to client companies, including:

  • Develop labor law compliant policies and procedures.
  • Develop and deliver appropriate documents: new hire, benefits and separation packages
  • Assist with on-boarding employees, and process new hire/terms
  • Act as business partner to clients in review and recommendation on employee terminations, suspensions, disciplinary actions, and reductions in force to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and consistent application of policies and procedures
  • Manage benefits administration, eligibility tracking, enrollments, cancellations, billing audits, carrier/employee issue resolution, benefits materials maintenance, and the open enrollment process
  • Support clients with various misc. HR functions such as employment verifications, background investigations, staffing administration, leave administration, workers comp claims, and unemployment claims.
  • Manage payroll administration

Partner with client companies and provide human resources consultation services:

  • Ability to use strategy, collaboration and consultation to identify needs and provide services to address those needs
  • Keep abreast of Human Resource practices, laws, current or pending legislation, and trends
  • Form strong partnerships across internal and external client groups in order to optimize communication and effectiveness
  • Develop workforce needs analysis
  • Deliver performance management
  • Promote best practices
  • Additional tasks and projects as assigned.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related business services preferred
  • Candidate must either currently have, be in the process of, or intend to obtain PHR or SPHR certification.  Company will provide for PHR and SPHR certification.

Experience

 

  • 3+  years as an HR generalist or 5+ years as an HR specialist
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, database management)
  • Multi-client experience a plus.
